Objectives: This study aims to determine the relationship between the motivation to use virtual mobile networks and social capital among students of Hamadan University of Medical Sciences. Materials and Methods: This was a cross-sectional study carried out on 350 students of Hamadan University of Medical Sciences in 2017. The participants were selected by a stratified sampling method with the proportional assignment. Data gathering tools included the demographic form and questionnaires of motivation to use virtual networks and social capital. The subjects completed the tools through the self-reporting. The obtained data were analyzed by the Pearson correlation test and linear regression in SPSS v. 24. Results: Most students (42.6%) used virtual networks 3-5 hours per day. Entertainment and pastime were the most reported reasons and motivations for using the virtual networks among students with 59% and 58.8% of the maximum achievable score, respectively. There was a positive and significant correlation between bonding and bridging social capital and the rate of virtual network usage. Among the related factors studied, gender, nativeness, self-disclosure, immersion in the media, pastime, information search, individual status, maintaining relationships, entertainment, and linking social capital have significant roles in explaining the variance of the motivation to use the virtual network among the students (P<0.05). Conclusion: Further research is needed in this area because students increasingly use virtual networks and they are unfamiliar with other aspects of these networks affecting their health and life. University counseling centers should provide the required training based on the facts for the students about the positive and negative consequences of using virtual networks.}, Keywords = {Internet, Social capital, Students, Iran}, volume = {5}, Number = {4}, pages = {151-158}, publisher = {Hamadan University of Medical Sciences}, doi = {10.32598/ajnpp.4.3.265}, url = {http://ajnpp.umsha.ac.ir/article-1-129-en.html}, eprint = {http://ajnpp.umsha.ac.ir/article-1-129-en.pdf}, journal = {Avicenna Journal of Neuro Psycho Physiology}, issn = {2383-2436}, eissn = {2383-2444}, year = {2018} } @article{ author = {Sepahvand, Tooraj}, title = {The Effectiveness of Integrated Model of Self-regulation-attachment Couple Therapy on Dimensions of Marital Satisfaction of Insecure Couples}, abstract ={Introduction: Nowadays, marital satisfaction is not easily achieved. Therefore, helping couples have lasting and satisfying marriages is essential. Objectives: This research examined the effectiveness of the integrated model of self-regulation-attachment couple therapy on the dimensions of marital satisfaction of insecure couples. Materials and Methods: The research was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest design and control group. The research sample was selected from the couples referring to the counseling centers of Khorramabad City, Iran. The couples that at least one of them had an insecure attachment style based on the Adult Attachment Inventory were selected using the purposive sampling method. Then the couples were randomly assigned to the experimental (11 couples) and control (11 couples) groups. Before performing the couple therapy program, the ENRICH questionnaire was administered to all couples as the pretest. Then the couples of the experimental group participated in a therapeutic program during the 8 weekly sessions, but the control group remained on the waiting list. After the completion of the therapeutic sessions, the couples of the two groups completed this questionnaire once again as the posttest. Finally, the obtained data of the two groups were analyzed by ANCOVA and MANCOVA.  Results: The results of ANCOVA indicated that self-regulation-attachment couple therapy was an effective treatment in increasing marital satisfaction. The results of MANCOVA also showed that this therapeutic program increased marital satisfaction based on the sexual relationship, marriage and children, and spiritual beliefs subscales.  Conclusion: Integrated model of self-regulation-attachment couple therapy could be an effective treatment for promoting the marital satisfaction of insecure couples.}, Keywords = {Couple therapy, Integration, Self regulation, Attachment, Satisfaction}, volume = {5}, Number = {4}, pages = {159-168}, publisher = {Hamadan University of Medical Sciences}, doi = {10.32598/ajnpp.4.3.275}, url = {http://ajnpp.umsha.ac.ir/article-1-140-en.html}, eprint = {http://ajnpp.umsha.ac.ir/article-1-140-en.pdf}, journal = {Avicenna Journal of Neuro Psycho Physiology}, issn = {2383-2436}, eissn = {2383-2444}, year = {2018} } @article{ author = {Esmaeilnia, Mohammadreza and Dousti, Yarali and Mirzaian, Bahram}, title = {The Role of Early Maladaptive Schema and Perfectionism on Body Dysmorphic Disorder Mediating Through Thought Fusion, Meta-worry, Anxiety, and Attributional Style: A Structural Model}, abstract ={Introduction: Anxiety is one of the variables that can affect the onset and severity of body dysmorphic disorder. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the role of early maladaptive schema and perfectionism on body dysmorphic disorder mediating thought fusion, meta-worry, anxiety, and attributes style. Materials and Methods: This is descriptive-correlational research implemented using a structural equation model. The statistical population included all women referring to Ghaemshahr Dermatology centers in the first half of 2018. Of them, a sample of 300 women was selected based on the number of study variables (50 samples for each variable). For data collection, body dysmorphic disorder questionnaire, the short version of the initial maladaptive schema, perfectionism, anxiety test, documentary questionnaire, and anxiety questionnaire were used. Results: By increasing the amount of mixed thinking variables, anxiety, meanwhile and documentary style as intermediary variables, the effect of the early maladaptive schema on disordered body disorder was 0.48, 0.44, 0.44, and 0.51, respectively (0.42), and the impact of perfectionism through the mediation of thought mixing, anxiety, metaphor, and documentary variables were (0.53), (0.48), (0.50) and (0.50), which is more than the direct relation between them (0.45). Materials and Methods: The research method was a pre-test-post-test quasi-experimental design with a control group. The study population comprised all employees of Hadid Sazeh Pishro industrial group, who were working in 2018. To complete the questionnaire, all staff completed the organizational citizenship behavior questionnaire. Then, among those who obtained a lower score than others, 24 subjects were selected and randomly divided into experimental and control groups. Next, group counseling based on motivational interviews was held for the experimental group in 18 sessions, two hours a week, for two sessions. During this period, the control group did not receive any intervention. After completing the counseling, both groups were taken the post-test to measure the effect of the intervention. Two months after the post-test, the groups were reevaluated to assess the impact of intervention during follow-up. The obtained data were analyzed with 1-way multivariate and covariance analysis in SPSS V. 22. Results: Findings of the present study indicated that group counseling based on motivational interviewing had a positive impact on employees' organizational citizenship behavior (P<0.01) so that the mean scores of the staff in the experimental group in the post-test and follow-up were significantly higher compared with the control group. To collect information, we used Thompson and Walker's (1983) marital intimacy scale and Glaser basic need questionnaire. The experimental group underwent cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy (eight 90-minute sessions), but the control group received no intervention. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (repeated measure ANOVA).
